I’m Gabriel, an interdisciplinary researcher and designer. I received a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a specialization in computing from UCLA and am now pursuing a graduate degree at UW in the Master’s of Human-Computer Interaction + Design program. I have been fascinated by the challenge of designing for complex sociotechnical systems ever since undergrad, when I discovered a passion for the psychology and philosophy of learning and how it necessitates a re-evaluation and redesign of our educational institutions. I still carry that passion with me into my design process, where it translates into a concern for the broader ramifications of designed products on people and their environments.
